Laya

Uh... Emily. Sit down before you flip forward out of the saddle.

Looks guys! It's a prancing paso fino... Oh wait. I mean excited saddlebred.

Ok... I am in training. Had no idea I had her head tucked this much.

Laya officially turned 5 years old on March 31st. She still acts like she's 2 but we are definitely seeing some "grown up" coming through every now and then. I love this horse!!

Fiddlers Grove Festival 2011

Fiddler's Grove was beautiful this year. Of course, it helped that everything was clean and fresh after plenty of rain Friday night. Saturday was a great day full of even greater music. My favorite music of the festival was Laura Boosinger and Joshua Goforth. Together they make a great team on stage and some really good music!

We really like that bluegrass music. (Friday night rain)

(Yep... That's me. Tiny bit wet but enjoying myself!!)

What a rainbow!!

Remington

Thursday evening I was privilaged to do a photo shoot of this little guy. He was cute as a button! A puppy full of energy and loving the great outdoors. :-)

Standing tall! (The hill helped with the tall part)

Peek a boo

Lovin' the great outdoors!

Sitting pretty on his blanket

Chasing tennis balls

April Showers. Not April hailstorms!

An old picture from the blog history. This picture sums up my Tuesday morning (About 2 AM) very well. I thought for sure one of these were fixing to bust through my bedroom window along with the hail that was beating the panes. I need a t-shirt. *I survived an NC thunderstorm.*

Callie's 8 months!

Lets rewind.... Below at 3 months.

Sunday Afternoon

There is almost no better way to spend a fairly warm Sunday afternoon than to take a drive up the mountain and a have a short walk.

So.

Thats where we went. Callie was pleased to tag along with the trio. :-)

Sometimes cloudy days are beautiful if you look at them the right way.

So many hills to climb.

The trees are coming back to life again.

I'm assuming this is the Grandfather of Grandfather Mountain.

Where the waters run clear.

Callie

Callie playing in a little falls. She needed a bath anyways.

Something about the top of a mountain presses the need to test cell phone service.

And their GPS range...

Random Snapshots Around

From the "Farm"
(Took these with my cell phone)

Callie.... Looks like a great guard dog, huh? Ok. I'm lying.

Sugar :-) Laya's sweet little companion.

Callie the mountain climber.

Gennie Gabriel, a friend of mine took these pictures for me. I just wanted to share a few!

"Oh where is my hairbrush? Oh where...."

Me and my favorite girl

"Say whaaaa??"
Apparently, cameras are cool. Because she was looking into almost every shot.

CANTER! Yes... Finally. She did it.

By the way, this is what a country girl having fun in the mud looks like. :-)

Sugar. She was just for looks. She thinks the person on top is put there expressly to massage her back and pet her neck.
